 Slate Coasters Made in Seattle, Washington

Laser Engraved Slate Coasters (3.8" x 3.8", $6, $4, or $2 each) feature Northwest images, like your favorite salmon, heron, dungeness crabs, and rainbow trout.  They sport cork shapes on the back (typically fish, occasionally leaves), and highly-detailed white engraving on the tops.  The slate usually comes from Vermont, with a few exceptions.  It's all natural, having once spent a few hundred thousand years as a rock.  The edges are straight-cut.  You'll find that every piece is different, delightfully so, we hope.  Real stone contains what the unpolished might refer to as blemishes, but what you'll understand is part of the overall look of choosing slate over MDF brown board.

We've got three grades of coasters, thanks to manufacturing accidents and interesting stone features.  Grade A are awesome.  Grade B have a small flaw present; perhaps the engraving is off-center slightly, or maybe there's a mineral seam in the middle; there might be a wee chip in the corner; one of those usually.  Grade C are what we use in the office, the ones with obvious flaws, but that are still visually interesting and worthy of setting a coffee mug or tea cup on.  We'd suggest throwing in a few Grade C coasters for $2 each in with an order you're already placing; they are almost certain to incur no extra shipping charges (really, any grade of coaster can easily be fitted in to a box with something larger in it).

Shipping:  They are heavy, and yet, fragile.  Charging naught for the effort of packing it up, your coaster costs $5 in postage.  However, we can fit more than 50 in the next size box for only $10; it's flat-rate USPS Priority.  The best way to save money with us is to order more than one item; we'll combine all into the cheapest good shipping method.  If you're local to Seattle, you can even pick them up at our workshop instead of paying for shipping.

3.8" Slate Coasters are $6 for Grade A, $4 for Grade B, and $2 for Grade C unless otherwise marked.  Shipping 1-4 of them is $5, or 5-50 of them is $10.  Sure, we'll combine items into the box for you and help keep the costs down.  If you order a larger item, we can probably include your coasters in that box with no extra shipping.
