Engraved Custom Beer Tap Handles:

All of our stock tap handles are solid wood, some painted, some clear-finished.  We deeply mark your custom text and design into the wood, cutting through the painted coating and leaving a deep, medium-dark brown trough in the handle's wood.  We then fill in those marks with paint colors, by hand, with little brushes, transforming them into full color, but maintaining much of the depth and texture of the mark.  It takes several hours to make a single handle for you, and it can cost between $95 and $165, though most typically it is $115.  Click here to be taken to our engraved custom beer tap handle gallery.  Click Here to Get Started Making Your Custom Beer Tap.

    1. $95 Engraved Tap Handle, Catalog Graphic:  Raw Laser Engraving on a light oak tap handle, involving your custom text and a graphic from our catalog.  This method results in a medium-brown mark deeply etched into the wood of the handle.  It looks good on the clear-finished oak handles, like the Round Ripple, the Empire and Square-top series, or the clear-finished Pub handles.

    2. $115 Engraved and Hand-painted Tap Handle, Catalog Graphic (the most popular choice) Any of our handles, deeply engraved with your custom text and a graphic from our catalog, then hand-paint-filled.  After burning a deep mark past the finish layer and into the wood of the handle, we fill in the marks, by hand, with colors of paint you select, using little brushes.  The depth of the mark is still apparent, resulting in permanent texture and color.

    3. $125 Engraved Tap Handle, Your Custom Graphic, Minimal Setup: Any of our handles, deeply engraved with your custom text and a graphic that you provide, then hand-paint-filled. Your graphic is high-resolution, possibly vector, hopefully black and white, and requires minimal editing not more involved than resizing (this might be your company logo, a sharp illustration crafted by a graphic designer, or your skilled beer-brewing friend).  Information on submitting a custom graphic is to be found here:

    4. $140 Engraved Tap Handle, Your Custom Graphic, Some Setup:  Any of our handles, deeply engraved with your custom text and a graphic that you provide, needing some setup work, then hand-paint-filled.  Your graphic is high-resolution, possibly vector, and requires at least 15-30 minutes of design time to convert what you have to what you want, and make it ready to be engraved.  Several military graphics fall into this category, as well as high-resolution busy graphics where you only want a certain key feature and need the rest removed.  A pen-and-ink drawing, or a pencil illustration that you doodled or skillfully drew and scanned, but requires cleanup, may also be in this price range.  Information on submitting your custom graphic is here:

    5. $165 Engraved Tap Handle, Your Custom Graphic, Heavy Setup:  Any of our handles, deeply engraved with your custom text and a graphic that you provide, requiring quite a lot of setup time, then hand-paint-filled.  Your graphic requires an hour or more of work before we can engrave it.  You’re probably better advised to choose a hybrid label/engraved tap, where we engrave your custom text but use a durable, waterproof, full-color label to display your design, as label setup takes much less time, and money, than engraving setup.  However, there are many complicated graphics that are worth the effort and expense to be converted into something we can engrave, hand-paint-fill, and turn into a real work of art on a stick (or handle, as it were).  Sometimes, a photograph, like of a face or a dog, can be converted into an engraveable image.  When this works, it rocks; we’ll do our best to advise you when you e-mail the graphic to us for a quote.  Coat of arms family crest beer taps almost always necessitate this price level to make them ready for our engraving method.  Many military graphics require this much time to prepare, as they often are not in an ideal file format, but are rich with the kind of sharp detail that looks great engraved into a beer tap handle after we’ve adjusted it.  Information on submitting your custom graphic is here:
